Local author Jailey Hall will be at the Pike County Public Library (Lee Avenue) on Tuesday, September 16th from 5:00-7:00 with her new tetralogy series, The Thimble of Seasons.
The story follows four teens — Evy, Etain, Elowen, and Kalliope — who discover that their missing parents are bound to an ancient power hidden in a silver thimble.
In Book I: The Thimble of Seasons, the siblings first encounter the thimble’s magic and the faceless Watcher that hunts them, beginning their desperate search for answers.
In Book II: The Rift Between Us, their path grows darker as they follow scattered clues toward their parents, torn between trust and suspicion. By the end, they finally glimpse their parents — alive, but entangled in forces they barely understand.
In Book III: The Lantern That Never Burns Out, the trail leads to Ashpeak, where the eternal lantern ties the thimble to a deeper rift. During the Festival of Lights, they uncover hidden tunnels, face trials beneath the Hall of Flame, and discover their parents’ captivity — but also that the Watcher serves a greater master.
In Book IV: The Last Stitch, the siblings descend into the Loom itself — the source of every thread that binds their world. One by one they face illusions and personal trials until the final choice falls to Evy. To free her parents and seal the rift, she sacrifices herself, becoming part of the Loom and the Last Stitch that holds the world together.
Together, the quartet tells a story of family and fracture, of shadows that cannot be outrun, and of the painful truth that every stitch comes at a cost.
