The project will be a simple scarf, with the encouragement to share it with someone else. Whether that be a friend, a neighbor, or someone in need. Learn about some of the history of fiber crafts, and how it can be used to start a conversation. Working together, we can chain connections that last a lifetime.

“Mountains of Wisdom” is more than just an event—it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and the enduring legacy of Appalachia. Join us as we come together to honor the teachings of those who came before us and forge new connections that will carry us into the future.

Mountains of Wisdom will be held on a monthly basis. Each month will feature a different subject with experts that are based locally. In the upcoming months, you can expect to learn about the art of crocheting, the peacefulness of quiet writing, the beauty in French braiding, and so much more.
