Audition Date: February 2nd (Cast list will go out February 7th, 2025)
Audition Time: 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Audition Place: The Appalachian Center for the Arts
Audition Song Request: Please bring 16 bars OR 30-45 seconds of a musical theatre song.
Audition Monologue Request: Please bring a 45-60 second monologue.
Both song and monologue will be performed.
Cold Read Information: Sides will be provided for those selected to do a cold read.
A “cold read” is performing a scene without prior preparation. Again, scenes will be provided for those selected to do a cold read.
Dance Call Information: Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes (NO CROCS OR OPEN TOED SHOES) suitable for dancing. A short dance audition will take place at the audition.

We’re looking for talented, enthusiastic young actors, singers, and dancers for the upcoming production of Mean Girls, Jr.! This high-energy, hilarious musical, based on the hit movie Mean Girls, is packed with memorable songs and characters you won’t want to miss!
Brief Character Breakdown (does not include all characters):
Cady Heron – A smart, kind, and slightly awkward high school student who tries to fit in with the “cool” crowd.
Regina George – The queen bee of the high school, manipulative, and always in control.
Gretchen Wieners – Regina’s loyal but anxious friend, desperate for approval.
Karen Smith – A sweet but ditzy member of the Plastics.
Janice Ian – A rebellious and sarcastic outcast with a punk attitude.
Damian Leigh – Janice’s best friend, funny, theatrical, and unapologetically fabulous.
Aaron Samuels – The love interest of Cady, charming and kind.
Mrs. George – Regina’s overly involved, yet well-meaning mother.
