Archaeology and the Bible

On Thursday, August 17th at the Pike County Library at Lee Avenue Tommy Chamberlin will be sharing his presentation “Archaeology & the Bible.” On display will be a collection of ancient artifacts from the Holy Land dating from the Biblical period. The display will be open to the public at 4:30 & the presentation will begin at 5:00 p.m. The display & presentation is free of charge and open to the public. Mr. Chamberlin will share about his experiences as a supervisor on the excavation at Biblical Shiloh in Israel. Tommy just returned home from his 5th excavation season at Shiloh and will share updates on this year’s discoveries. Further, he’ll give other examples of how archaeology illuminates the Biblical text. This event is free to the public with items available for purchase from an Old City of Jerusalem gift shop.
