Celebrate America 250 with a colorful and creative painting program!
Participants will design their very own Americana Folk Art Chicken, inspired by Appalachian art traditions, rural Kentucky life, and patriotic colors. Using a simple chicken silhouette, painters will add decorative patterns, florals, and designs in rustic red, white, and blue, creating a unique piece of folk-inspired art.
This program highlights how local traditions, like folk art and quilting, reflect the identity and culture of our region. Participants are encouraged to add personal touches and patterns that represent their own community and experiences.
At the end, everyone will have a one-of-a-kind painting to take home, celebrating both local heritage and American tradition.
This program is presented by Kenna’s Creative Canvas and will be held at the Pike County Public Library on Tuesday, May 26th at 5:00. For ages 16+. Registration is required.
