On December 18th\, these schools are coming together for a one-night-only\, round-robin competition for the title of East Kentucky Improv Champions. Who will take home the trophy? Which team will create worlds never before seen? How will they contain all the laughter to just one building? Will there even be a trophy? Well\, come out December 18th at 7:00 p.m. to see these amazing students compete and show off their skills.

Story Time is held Thursdays at 11:00 and 2:00 and Saturdays at 11:00. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nBesides being fun\, Story Time also helps develop early literacy and school readiness skills through reading\, singing\, listening\, playing\, and social interaction. Join us on Friday\, December 20\, from 1:00–4:00 PM at the Pike County Public Library for an afternoon full of holiday cheer.\nKick off the fun on the third floor of the library with a Christmas Magic Show at 1:00\, where you’ll see a magical chimney that suddenly fills up in an instant\, a 10-foot candy cane that appears from thin air\, appearing lights\, stars\, puppets\, songs and much more!\nFrom 2:00-4:00 in the field behind the library you’ll find the Nativity Petting Zoo\, featuring 9 animals\, including goats\, sheep\, an alpaca\, a cow and a miniature donkey\, plus a camel! Hand sanitizer and grain will be available to feed the animals.\nAlso stationed outside is our Holiday Bounce House!\nWhen it’s time to warm up\, head back inside the library to visit the hot cocoa station and listen to the live band\, Coaltown Dixie\, as they conduct a Christmas Sing-Along. And keep your eyes peeled—Santa himself just might make a special appearance!\nThis free family event is presented in partnership with the Pike County Community Early Childhood Council.
