DESCRIPTION:Nov 6th-Dec 4th\, 2024 | $100 for semester\nMeets Wednesdays 5:30 – 6:30 pm\nClass Sharing: December 6th\, 2024\, @ 7:30 pm\nTaught by Claudia Dahlman and Brian Bush \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis class aims to prepare students for auditions at all levels of theatre. The primary focus of the class is the exploration of an audition piece of the student’s choice: either a 60-90 second monologue or a 16-32 bar cut of a musical theatre song. \nThese pieces will be chosen by the students based on an audition brief given in the first week of classes. We will explore the storytelling of the pieces: what the character wants and how they aim to get it. These pieces will be shared with the community on a final “sharing” day. Additionally\, this class will provide students with information about resume format\, headshots\, and even self-promotion in order to give them the tools they need to succeed in any future auditions.
