When Rainbow Fish refuses to share his (or her!) vibrant\, shimmering scales (played by separate actors who become a chorus for solo songs)\, the whole ocean seems to turn against the vain creature. Unhappy that no one adores him anymore\, the Rainbow Fish seeks out the wise Octopus\, whose tentacles can also be played by separate actors. Octopus helps the young fish learn that it’s far better to be admired for being kind than for being beautiful.

DESCRIPTION:Led by members of the Kentucky Division of Forestry\, This family friendly hike will demonstrate how to identify various types of trees by leaves\, twigs and buds\, bark\, flowers\, and other characteristics.\nThis program will be held on alternating Saturdays in June and July at 10:30. Dates are June 15 & 29\, and July 13 & 27.\nParticipants will meet at the football field parking lot at the Bob Amos Park and walk to the park trails to begin the Walking Tour. The program will last approximately an hour. In the event of bad weather\, the program will be canceled. Any change in schedule will be posted on Facebook!

This talk travels the parkways\, byways and backroads of the Bluegrass State and outlines some of Kentucky’s most famous historical destinations and natural wonders as well as some of her best kept secrets.\nKentucky native Blair Thomas Hess is the author of four travel books about Kentucky’s history\, its people\, and its natural wonders. This presentation will highlight fun and educational destinations to help Kentuckians of all ages explore the amazing and irreplaceable things that make the state one of a kind.\nThis presentation will be held at the Pike County Public Library on June 27th at 5:30.
