SUMMARY:Musical Theatre Ensembles (ages 9-18)
DESCRIPTION:January 13th – February 13th | $100 for semester\nMeets Mondays-Wednesdays 6:30-8:00 pm\nPerformance: February 13th\, 2025?\nTaught by Brian Bush and Daniela Velasquez \n\n\n\n\nThis class is dedicated to developing key ensemble skills for musical theatre performance. Musical theatre\, by nature\, combines three key elements: acting\, singing\, and dance. This class aims to explore all these aspects through the performance of an iconic musical theatre ensemble number. In this piece\, students will learn music\, choreography\, and dig into the storytelling that the song requires. This semester\, the class will also feature an audition focus. Students will be asked to prepare a 16-32 bar cut of a musical theatre song to be used for an audition. This piece will be worked on during class with the instructors. Ultimately\, these pieces will be shown to the community on a final “sharing” day. Join us for a fantastic dive into the world of group work in musical theatre!
