SUMMARY:Stumbling Stones: The John Rosenberg Story
DESCRIPTION:This play follows the extraordinary journey of John Rosenberg—from his childhood as a Jewish boy in Nazi Germany to his life’s work as a civil rights attorney and\, ultimately\, his decision to make Prestonsburg his home. For over fifty years\, John and his wife Jean have stood shoulder to shoulder with the people of Appalachia\, founding and leading AppalReD Legal Aid and fighting for miners\, families\, and communities across our region. \nAfter the show\, there will be a live talkback featuring John and Jean themselves. A portion of the proceeds from each ticket will go towards funding AppalRed Legal Aid. More information on this wonderful organization can be found by visiting https://www.ardfky.org

SUMMARY:Bob Ross Painting Class
DESCRIPTION:Brad Mullins is an artist and studio owner in Carmi\, IL. Brad became a CRI\, or Certified Ross Instructor\, by taking a series of required classes at Bob Ross Incorporated\, which now enables him to teach others how Bob Ross’ favored landscape methods were used to create his beautiful works of art. The classes he teaches are designed for painters of any skill level and expertise using only Bob Ross supplies\, (all provided). Brad not only provides these opportunities at his studio monthly but also works with many organizations throughout Illinois and Indiana. Currently\, his classes are offered at several local colleges\, library’s\, art organizations\, and even as Paint and Sip events at area restaurants. He has been featured in articles in his local newspaper and on Talk of the Town\, which is a radio broadcast in Carmi\, IL. His work has been well received as he continues to honor Bob’s legacy by spreading the joy of painting across the Midwest\, and beyond. \nNon alcoholic refreshments\, wine and charcuterie will be served.
