First\, the story of how she fell in love with folktales\, read and studied them\, and told them to audiences. Second\, how — and why — she searched hundreds of folktale collections\, looking for stories with women or girls as their main characters. What she found\, how she selected and adapted it\, and what happened next. Third\, Anne shares a story from the resulting book\, an award-winning collection for children and adults\, “The Adventures of Molly Whuppie and Other Appalachian Folktales.”\nThis author visit and reading will take place at the Pike County Public Library on Tuesday\, April 2 at 5:30.\nNo registration is required.
